Trinity of Carnatic Music – a blurb

The trinty of carnatic classical music are the three great musicians and composers –  Sri Tyagaraja, Shyama Shastry and Muthuswami Dikshitar. Interestingly all of them were born in the town of Tiruvarur. They were contemporaries. All of the were well versed in astrology, vedas, music , languages like Telugu and Sanskrit.

Together they contributed immensely to the field of carnatic classical music.
