Today MusicNamaste introduces a very talented budding artist, Kum.Prakrithi Suresh currently residing in UAE. Prakrithi Suresh is an upcoming Carnatic vocalist/student and Bharatanatyam artist.
Prakrithi Suresh is a 16 year old, upcoming Carnatic vocalist/student, bharathanatyam dancer, learning Carnatic vocal and bharathanatyam for the last 13 years. She started learning Carnatic music and bharathanatyam at the early age of 4. She plays Carnatic violin and western Guitar too.
She has received the world’s first medal from Geronimo stilton Fondazione from the world renowned author Ms. Elizabetta Dami in Sharjah book fair on 2019 for being a role model for the younger generations in cultural values and following the traditional values and spreading the tamil culture to the next generation.
Recently Prakrithi received 10 World record certificates for the performance of Carnatic vocal along with other internationally recognized musician Like Padmashree A. Kanniyakumari Maam, etc., in association with an International organization.

Carnatic Vocal
She imbibed the music genetically from her ancestral paternal grandparents, and by listening to her father’s practices when she was just 2 years old. She started formal classes from Palakkad Mr. Rajesh Kesav. She learnt 4 years, under Dr. Amruta Sankaranarayanan, daughter and disciple of Padma Bhusan, Sangeetha Kalanithi Sri T. V. Sankaranarayanan. Currently she is pursuing her advanced training from Prof. Dr. Mythili Kannan. Prakrithi is frequently been trained by eminent leading Carnatic musicians like Vid. Prince Rama Varma, Vid. Sikkil Gurucharan, Vid. Rajkumar Bharathi & Vid. S. Saketharaman.
Prakrithi is learning Carnatic music for the soul purpose of enlightenment. Indian Carnatic music is a powerful method for evoking spiritual awakening. Music makes it much easier to divert your attention inward, a key requirement for energy awakening. Carnatic music evolved out of sounds and tunes, that were identified through vibrations of the energy centers; hence, this music is the organically ideal for awakening the energy centers. Musical notes rendered by spiritually awakened musicians can create resonance within the listener’s energy centers, thereby awakening the listener’s inner energy and
providing the ultimate experience of vibrations and spiritual enjoyment, as well as complete tranquility and inner peace.
Prakrithi sings with devotion and her ambition is to fill this entire universe with divinity through her music. Whoever listen’s to her song can align with her divine vibrations. So, Prakrithi is always look forward and proceed with musical performances which make the audience to feel the divine ambience around them rather than participating in competitions.
- Prakrithi was awarded the overall champion of Margazhi fest 2019 competition conducted by Reha Institute of Music and Dance for securing first position in all six categories of Carnatic vocal competition in the UAE National Level.
- 2 nd Position silver medal in international level online competetion by International Carnatic Musicians and Dancers Association (ICDMA) in 2020-21
- 2 nd position in the international online competition conducted by Let’s Grow (an ezine on earth matters) in 2020
- Achieved 2 nd place in the varnam competition in Vibgyor sangeet samrat 2015

Prakrithi Suresh is also a trained Bharatanatyam dancer too.
Bharatanatyam is a divine art form. This art form causes an alignment of the body, the mind and the soul. This brings an understanding of balance between myself and my surroundings while performing in front of audience or practicing for myself.
“All human beings are limited manifestation of the ultimate being and reunion of the soul with the absolute soul should be the goal. This is the truth offered in the vedas. Accordingly the famous Indian classical dance Bharatanatyam is a combination of body movements and facial expressions perfectly synchronized to represent a given context, through the perfect vehicle ie, the human body or human being. Though it is the body that moves, it is man’s inner consciousness are soul that directs his/her movement. This results in a harmonistic dance form that combines music, rhythm and movement. All of which cater to the command of man’s inner feelings. In a spiritual country like India, where the realization of consciousness or spirit has been the supreme goal of life, it is not a wonder that Bharatanatyam dance became a form of Sadhana.”
Prakrithi learns and performs Bharatanatyam for the above mentioned purpose and her ambition is to guide the upcoming generation in the same divine path.
- Started basic training under Mr. Sahadevan of Kalakshetra, Sharjah for 3years (2013 to 2015) who is the disciple of Smt. Rukmini Devi Arundale
- Currently Pursuing under Guru Mr. Girish Kumar, who is the disciple of Kalamandalam Chandrika who is the disciple of the veteran actress Mrs. Vaijayanthimala.
