Today MusicNamaste introduces a very special artist in the field of Harikatha and Naama Sankeertanam, Kum Vatsallya Thulasidaran, Chennai, India.
Vatsallya Thulasidaran is an Sangeetha Upanyasam and a Namasankeerthanam artist.
She is a ‘B’ Grade Harikatha Artist in All India Radio. Her Upanyasam program was also telecast in Sankara TV, SVBC, Peppers TV and Moon TV. She has been actively performing in various temples and sabhas both online and offline like R.R.Sabha, Isckon Rajamundry, Nandalala Gandharva Gana Sabha, Ayyappan Temple K.K. Nagar to name a few. She is being trained by Shri. Anand Dayanidhi Bhagavathar. She has been learning the musical nuances of Sangitha Upanyasam under the tutelage of Kalaimamani Smt. Girija Ramaswamy.
Her journey in Namasankeerthanam started by participating in Bhajan Samrat competition conducted by Sankara TV where she secured the 3rd prize. She is currently leading GAANALOLUPA BHAJAN MANDALI. She was trained in Carnatic music by Kalaimamani Smt. SV Usha and in and fundamentals of sampradaya namasankeerthanam by Sri Srivanjiyam Muralidhara Bhagavathar. The team is actively performing in various temples and sabhas both online and offline.
She has won numerous competitions conducted by various institutions for shloka recitation and music right from her childhood. She has conducted a lot of online shloka classes during the covid period and was actively involved in spreading the bhakthi culture in India as well as abroad.
On a professional front, she is a Triplet (Chartered Accountant, Cost Accountant and a Company Secretary).
